We are totally thrilled to welcome.....
The Play Date Cafe Design Team

"I'm a mostly-SAHM living in Austin, Texas.
My two preschoolers keep me busy during the day
so I do most of my stamping late at night
once the house is quiet.
I also work a couple part-time jobs
both as a substitute teacher at my kids' preschool,
and also for Hero Arts, doing behind the scenes admin work,
blog posts and best of all, corresponding with contest winners
such a fun job!
I've served on a couple design teams in the past...
Hambo Stamps and Firecracker Designs by Pamela.
I love playing along with blog challenges,
so I am completely thrilled to be joining
The Play Date Cafe team in 2011!!"

and now we welcome our newest
Private Blend Designer....
 Colleen Dietrich to
The Play Date Cafe Design Team

"I began cardmaking in 2007
and felt the ‘addiction’ take hold pretty quickly!
I took the leap into blogging in late May 2010.
My cards have won numerous challenge awards,
and recently I was named as a Guest Designer for
Off The Wall Craftiness as well as a
Guest Designer for the
Splitcoast CAS Winter 2010-11 Design Team

So there you have it!
What a team, huh!
Prepare to be super-inspired in 2011
with the new blend of designers here at
The Play Date Cafe!

We'll see you at midnight, EST with a

Designer Reveal Day #3!

For the current challenge

It's Day Three of The Big Reveal
'Cafe~Style'!

Each day we are revealing
two new designers
who will be joining us in January.
If you missed our first three new designers
announced over the past two days, make sure you scroll
down to see who they are!

We are very excited to welcome our
first 'Aussie'.....

 Fiona Shultz to
The Play Date Cafe Design Team

"I live about 90 minutes drive north of Sydney, Australia.
I have been creative for as long as I can remember,
first starting with knitting and crochet as a young girl,
moving on to tapestry, cross stitch and embroidery.
As a young adult, and I began making cards (of sorts)
some 14 years ago.
Along the way I’ve dabbled in patchwork,
quilting and scrapbooking to name a few.
I would have to say in the last 12 months I have reignited
a love of stamping...
So expect to see that evidenced in my work.
I am a lover of making useful items.
These are the ones I receive the most joy out of,
because of being able to see those creations
used in a practical way, and I tend to take ages
to make anything, just because
I like to make each step count :)"

We are also over the moon to welcome.....

Jinny Newlin to
The Play Date Cafe Design Team

"I am a former, kindergarten teacher turned stay-at-home,
home school mom to a smart, spunky, seven-year-old Ezekiel
and a vocal, tenacious, two-year-old Adina.
My husband BJ and I, feel overwhelmingly blessed to call them ours.
When I'm not taking care of or playing with my family,
you can find me cooking, baking, gardening, camping,
sewing, teaching Sunday school, and of course, papercrafting.
My love for stamping started over nine years ago
at a Stampin’ Up workshop, but my love for creating
began before birth.  I'm so excited, extremely blessed,
and truly honored to be joining The Play Date Cafe Design Team
for the next term and hope that I can inspire you to get creating."

We are thrilled to have these talented ladies
with us for at least the next six months!
Make sure you make a visit to their blogs
and encourage them...you're gonna love what you see!

A Big Welcome to
Fee & Jinny!
Join us tomorrow as we reveal our
final two designers AND at
midnight, EST a brand new challenge!

It's Day Two of The Big Reveal
'Cafe~Style'!

two new designers
who will be joining us in January.
If you missed our first new designer
announced yesterday, make sure you scroll
down or click here to see who it is!

We are thrilled to welcome.....

The Play Date Cafe Design Team

"I am a 46 yr old part-time nurse living in beautiful
“cottage country” of Muskoka Ontario Canada.
I have been married to the most wonderful man
for the last 21 yrs and we have a fantastic 18 yr old daughter
who will be graduating from college this Spring!
I have been a scrapbooker for about 7 years and
a card maker for about 3 yrs.
During the summer months I love to compete in triathlons.
I am very competitive LOL!
I am so thrilled to be a part of the Play Date Café Design Team
and to contribute to their colour challenges for.....
I just LOVE colour !!!!"

We are also excited to welcome.....
The Play Date Cafe Design Team

"My love for paper crafting began eight years ago
when I attended a stamping party for my mom.
As soon as I saw what I could do with stamps, I was hooked!
As a child who always loved design, color and drawing
(and having a graphic design degree),
stamping came naturally.
Though I dabble in scrapbooking a bit,
my true love is making cards.
Card making has become a great healing tool for me.
I now find myself spending almost every day
in my craft room creating something...
all while balancing the life of being
a stay-at-home mom to three beautiful children.
  Other things I enjoy are
sewing...Disco...the word "awesome"...
kickboxing...cooking...serving in my church.
I love sharing paper crafting with others.
My aim is that my blog and work will inspire people
to not only create, but to try new things as well."

We are thrilled to have both of these talented ladies
with us for at least the next six months!
Make sure you make a visit to their blogs
and encourage them...you're gonna love what you see!

We are excited to welcome
Tracey & Jaclyn!

Announcing Our New Design Team 'Cafe-Style'!

For the current challenge

The day has finally arrived!
It's Day One of the Big Reveal!

We are so happy to welcome
five new first-term designers and
a brand, new Private Blend Designer.

Of course, we'll do it 'Cafe~Style', so you
will be meeting them throughout this week.

Before we get started though, it's another exciting time
here in The Cafe as all of our designers who are staying
on will be 'moving up', so to speak.

We are so happy to share that
Savannah O'Gwynn
and
Ruby 2 Shoes
will be joining Sarah Anderson & Julie Ranae as
Senior Designers.

We are doubly delighted that
Andrea Ewen
will be moving from, just our
second 'Private Blend Designer',
to a first term designer, so she will be
with us at least another six months!
Lots of good things happening here in The Cafe!

Without further ado.....

We welcome

Michele Gross to
The Play Date Cafe Design Team.

"I am a stamper!
Show me the ink and rubber...
and the ribbon and bling...
and I am one happy girl!
I’m cheerful,  a little zany at times,
and I believe dessert is good for you.
I’m married to my best friend, mom to our 2 amazing boys,
spoiler to Ellie our Diva Dog and slightly addicted to blogging :)
When I’m not getting inky in my studio, or spending endless hours
at the skate park with my guys
(wishing they were bubble-wrapped!),
I enjoy cooking, reading, and cheering (loudly)
for my favorite baseball team-the Rockies!"

If you have not been to StudioMSG, then you have got
to make a trip...right now!  You have permission!  : )
Michele has a colorful style....
Some days whimsical....
Other days elegant....
All days inspiring!

We know you will make her feel welcome by
visiting her blog each week as she brings
inspiration to the The Cafe!

We're glad you're here, Michele!!!

with each new designer.
Judging from all the comments and emails
we've received, we know you are excited too!

Your host for this week is
Senior Designer Julie Ranae....

"I knew it was 'color splash' time here
in The Cafe and although we are all in
full-on holiday mode, I thought it would be
fun to change things up a bit with a
non-traditional Christmas color.
Even the photo reflects anything but Christmas,
but I really hope to see a few 'holiday' projects
using black, white and yellow...have fun!"
