with the girls from CASE Study Challenge.
This fun *twist* didn't throw any of you!
There was some pretty CrAzY creativity on offer!

Before we go any further, we are thrilled to name
the winner of the 'Combined Grind Challenge.
This is the person who followed the requirements
and entered both challenges to qualify.
This winner wins the amazing
Ippity prize package valued at $30!

Congratulations to:
Erin T

Erin, please contact Julie Ranae at
julieranae@hotmail.com to receive your prize.

Our regular 'Cup of the Week' Winner
will be announced at the end of this post
as usual.

It's time to get back to basics with
another fantastic color challenge for you!

Let's hear from Senior Designer Ruby 2 Shoes
who is your host for this week...

"I came across this gorgeous photo on
Julie Ebersole's blog and she very kindly said I
could use it for my colour story.
As soon as I saw it, I smiled.
It's just so cheerful and inviting.
I'm sure it's no secret that I love my bright colours,
and this is just fab!
Hope you enjoy using them as much as I did with
my quirky little character!"

This week's guest designer is the super-talented
Maria Gurnsey...

"I started paper crafting as a scrapbooker and
purposely avoided stamps
because I didn’t want to fund another hobby.
Who knew paper could get so expensive.
Eventually I caved and now my craft room is filled with stamps.
I love combining scrapbooking and stamping but I spend most
of my time making cards.
They are little pieces of art that I love sharing.
I currently design for {ippity} by Unity stamps
and Rubbernecker.  I’m also an {ippity} chick and sell the stamps on my{Sales Blog}http://salesbym.blogspot.com
I’m most proud of the
Gurnsey Gingham stamp that was named after me.
I’m a gingham fanatic…hence the name of my blog
{Gingham and Polka Dots} http://scrapsbym.blogspot.com
I have been published in Paper Crafts magazine and love the
friends that I have made online through this hobby.
Challenge blogs are one of my favorite ways to get my
mojo flowing and
The Play Date CafĂ©
is one of my favorites.
Thank you to all the designers for letting me
play along this week."

How fun to also have Maria as this week's sponsor!

and how very cool that you have an opportunity
to win her 'namesake' image along with another
amazing set of stamps from Ippity,
a prize package worth $30!!!

The Play Date Cafe Challenge PDCC68

It's been a 'beautiful' start to February here in The Cafe!

So many creative entries to our challenge this past week
and we know it's going to be another creative week for sure!

This week marks the beginning of a full schedule of
Guest Designers and Sponsors
and we couldn't be more thrilled about it!
So mark your calendars and don't miss a week!

Your color host this week is

"I am a lover of shabby chic/vintage decor
and I love it in paper crafting as well.
I have a dear friend named Polly Hood who owns
a wonderful business in my city and blog called
She graciously offered to let me pick any
photos from her blog that my heart desired.
So...that brings us to this week's challenge..."

It is our great pleasure to welcome one of the most
respected names in paper crafting to The Cafe...

"I am an avid card maker, scrapbooker and blogger
(some of you may have visited the site that I co-owned
called 2 Sketches 4 You). Paper crafting is a fairly new hobby for me which I picked up shortly after my first daughter was born almost 7 years ago. I love finding treasures that I can alter or replicate using paper! It is my little addiction that keeps growing! Part of the fun of creating is having
your work recognized in publications and by my peers. This industry has been so rewarding and I am fortunate to have had my work in both U.S. and International publications, television and on the web.
I have a lot of exciting things happening in my little crafty world in the coming months so please visit my blog 'NuNu Toolies' for updates or simply to stop by & say hi.
Thanks to The Play Date Cafe for hosting this awesome color challenge.
I hope you have as much fun creating with these beautiful colors as I did :) Hugs."

The Play Date Cafe Challenge PDCC67

What an exciting week for us here in The Cafe!
We are so happy to share that our challenge is now

a Stamping Top 100 blog
and we have you to thank!

It's because of our players, followers and fabby guests
that we continue to grow and are able to offer
you one of the best challenges around!

And how about this? Our very own
Senior Designer, Ruby 2 Shoes
is your color host for the very first time...

"When I saw this picture I just thought it was so striking and
would be beautiful as inspiration for a card.
The colours are so rich that they almost draw you
into a whole new world somehow.
We hear the phrase, ‘Take time to smell the flowers’
but this picture makes me think that sometimes we should stop
to take time to look at the flowers,
at how incredibly beautiful they are,
each one a unique piece of art.
Then we should spend a moment pondering on the
wonder of nature.
On a less philosophical note I just knew
that my first colour challenge had to have a
‘Ruby’ red in it, for obvious reasons!"

We are also happy to have our very own

as our sponsor for this week's challenge.
Here's what you could win....

It's time for more fabby inspiration from our design team...
