 'colour splash' challenge

 last week.  

We know many of you enjoy these special colour challenges

 and it's lovely to read of those of you for whom

'black and white with a splash of colour' 

has become a new combo you love to use!

You are welcome to submit projects using

any theme, and any supplies so have fun!

Did you know you can submit sewn items, paintings, crochet,  
journal pages,knitted pieces, jewellery...?  

Anything goes  in The Play Date Cafe as long as you use

our color story

as the focus of your project this week.

"The Stamp Connection has been in business since 1995 and we manufacture The Artistic Stamper range of stamps and 'Kling-On' repositionable cushioning too. All of our stamps are unmounted natural red rubber. We like to produce stamps that will work well with others, and co-ordinate with lots of our own. I love playing with designs that transfer into 3D pieces , so often my inspiration for stamp designs comes from my own love of 3D!"

The main requirement is:

PDCC COLORS BE THE 

FOCUS OF YOUR SUBMISSION

When using additional colors, please limit them to neutrals. 

You are welcome to combine challenges, 
but we do ask that:
 1. The PDCC name and/or photo is used
2. OUR colors are the focus of the card.

What a week!

Not only did we have an AmAzInG number of
players, but our follower numbers increased
(which means new people are finding us).

It was a blast celebrating with not only the PDCC
DT Alumni but also the girls of the
Unity Stamp Company DT.

So today begins year #2!

What a great way to start than with everyone's
favorite...it's The Color Splash Challenge!

What is it?
It is Black & White with just a hint of a specified color
and this week, it's Burgundy.

Senior Designer Sarah Anderson is your host
this week and here's what she had to say
about this beautiful photo...

"Whilst out hunting for a photograph for this week's colour splash
I came across this image by trunkguy.
He had been playing with a colour splash app on his iphone
(so jealous, I so wanted an iphone!!) and produced this image.
 I fell in love with the colours, and I happen to love Acquilega too.
Gorgeous, gorgeous flowers!"

"It's our 1 year anniversary!

 Mark's Finest Papers has been a dream of ours for over 10 years.

Mark and I have been trying to find a way to support my parents

and ourselves in a manner that I would be able to be the caregiver 

to them and remain a stay at home mother.
In my former life, I owned a newspaper and printing company. 

My father is a retired printing instructor. My mother is an artist. 

Markie is a wonderful helper and Speedy the Cat is our inspiration.

If you combine all these gifts together, along with love, hard work and

Mark's finance degree, we will most certainly make this a success.
We feel that all things happen for a reason, 

and when the opportunity arose, we saw this as a sign 

to move ahead and follow this path."
