final {scheduled} color story this week.
We welcome back to The Cafe a wonderful sponsor...
Mark's Finest Papers started business in October, 2009. The owners had the perfect logo, Speedy the Cat, their pet. Yes, he is real!
Mark's Finest Papers' began in a climate control warehouse. In two weeks, they had to move, as they had tripled in size. And, after 64 days of selling other companies' images, they decided they could design their own.
In January 2010, Faith, (the owner), started designing the Speedy the Cat's Designer Collection Stamp Sets. They had NO IDEA how successful the line would become. They sold out of all the sets within 39 minutes of putting them on the web site, and have had continuing success each month with their new releases.
Now, they have an extensive Premium Paper Line that rivals the "big guys!" Their 80lb, 100lb, 120lb and 140lb card stocks can't be beaten for high quality and premium color saturation. MFP's Snow Storm Smooth and Snow Storm Smooth Heavy Card Stock is perfect for use with Copic Markers. They also carry Premium Pencil Paper, Wowza Watercolor paper, Linens, Parchtones, and naturals.
Mark's Finest Papers also has a tool line that includes punches, Copics, Tonic, Sizzix and Spellbinders. They have over 200 ribbons/twines/cordings, and just as many charms.
Mark's Finest Papers also has a on-line community called Speedy TV. It's full of tutorials, galleries of inspiration, and open Live discussions.

ReplyDeleteMany congratulations to all the winners - there really were some fabulous creations! Wishing Sarah all the best in her new endeavours. And finally, what delicious colours you've got for this week's challenge!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I am humbled by this win....happy, too, of course.
ReplyDeleteHere's my shout out to all of you.

ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winners! :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck to Sarah too! :)
One doubt. Are the colors for #84 red, green and lavender??? Cannot make out the last color. Please clarify! Tks!
Shobana {and all}...the colors are a sort of burgundy meets green meets lavender....but whatever you see for your interpretation is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a FUN challenge this week - love the colours, and your samples are out of this world! :)
ReplyDeleteI added my link but the first post did not show, so I added the 2nd post, sorry!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, I have just read all these comments, and i thought this weeks colours were red green and grey!! I hope that my card is still ok for submission, I can only say that through my laptop it looks like grey not lavender.
ReplyDeleteyou have some fabulous creative things going on in this blog space
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winners! I nearly forgot to link up my card...again! FWIW, I agree with the person 2 comments above me. It's pretty difficult to tell what that 3rd colour is - and that happens to me a lot. It would be really helpful if you guys would list the colours instead of just having the photo, since every monitor is different. Sometimes I feel like I'm kind of guessing what the colours really are, even when looking at the DT's samples.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to blame it on old eyes! (okay, so I'm only 42, but I swear I feel older!!)
# 28 peggy g does not show my entry, thanks for letting me know!

Such beautiful colors! I love all the DT's inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWoops!! Made my card but missed the deadline, thought it was Thursday for some reason, Anyway here is the link in case your interested: http://catsinkcorporated.blogspot.com/2011/06/play-date-cafe-colour-challenge-84.html.
ReplyDeleteI too had problems with the colour combination, certainly did not see the last colour as lavender, I thought it was white.
