We are so looking forward to sharing this week's

'color story' with you.  It just says Spring, doesn't it?!

We are extremely excited to welcome back to

The Cafe our guest designer for another week,

Jen Tapler.

Our senior designer, Mona Pendleton has chosen

this fabulous color inspiration for you to play

with this week and can we just give a BIG

shout out to her husband Scott for creating

the fabulous graphic for Mona's color photo.

Your design team host this week is Stephanie.

"When I first saw this week's color inspiration

photo, I knew immediately what I wanted to create,

which was a card for teacher appreciation week.

That isn't always the case for me, though.

I find color challenges, well...'very challenging'.

I used to avoid them, unless the colors were in

my comfort zone.  Now, I enjoy them because

they help me grow as a designer."

When using additional colors, please limit them to neutrals.
You are welcome to combine challenges,
but we do ask that:
1. The PDCC name and/or photo is used
2. OUR colors are the focus of the card.

"Aloha!  

I am so honored and excited to be playing

along with the Play Date Cafe girls this week!

I live on the beautiful island of Maui

with my husband Joel and my 3 year old son, Dean.

I've been scrapbooking and stamping 

for a couple of years now and am 

completely addicted to all things paper!

I am currently on the design team for

Verve and Clear and Simple Stamps

as well as Paper Craft Planet.

I am really into hybrid papercrafting

(digi meets traditional)

and serve on the Hybrid Creative Team

for Sweet Shoppe Designs and

Libby Weifenbach as well as a freelance

However, the hardest thing for me when working with color 

challenges, is picking which sketch 

I would like to use. I had three sketches this week--so it
